Hope in Action Health Expo

Hope in Action is the cornerstone of Equal Hope’s educational efforts and mission to save women’s lives by eliminating health disparities in Illinois. The University of Illinois Cancer Center will be present to provide education to Chicago community members about breast and cervical cancer health. Since its’ inception in 2008, the mortality rate for African American women, as compared to White women, has fallen from 62% to 32%. Equal Hope helps women without private insurance navigate through complex health issues, and address women’s health holistically with the goal of eliminating inequities in prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship for all women.
