Dr. Arnon Lavie is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. His laboratory is studying the structure and function L-asparaginases with the ultimate goal of developing improved versions as anti-cancer drugs. His lab is testing a mammalian asparaginase that would replace the currently used bacterial asparaginases. His lab is also developing a TRAIL agonist that would be used as a pan-cancer therapeutic.
