Dr. Grace Guzman is the Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She serves as the medical director of hepatobiliary pathology services. Dr. Guzman focuses on the translational study of liver diseases, hepatocellular and colon carcinoma, addressing pathogenesis, cell signaling, development of human tissue arrays, and characterizing biomarkers. Her role as contributor, consultant, and surgical pathologist for the Cancer Center is supported by expertise gained from clinical practice in an academic referral center as a surgical pathologist, mentor to students of pathology in various levels of training, involvement in clinical translational research, publications, and co-investigatorships of NIH grants on tumorigenesis.
